Minimum order on freight-free shipments must come from available stock. If any of your selected items are out of stock, please choose additional products to reach your minimum. We do not pay shipping on back orders.
Orders will be delivered by the most cost-effective means available. Freight-free covers normal delivery charges which include bringing the order to the tailgate of the motor-freight truck. Customers are responsible for moving the order from the tailgate of the truck into their business. Customers can request a lift-gate truck or inside delivery at the time of their order, but must pay all associated fees from the shipping company. Additional fees may apply for residential or limited-access deliveries by motor-freight truck.
If a customer requests an alternate shipping method from the one offered by Chesapeake Ceramics, they are responsible for any additional cost of the selected shipping method.
Freight-free orders for Alaska and Hawaii will be shipped to the customer’s freight forwarder in Washington or California, respectively.
Additional Charges:For FedEx Ground orders that include clay, a shipping surcharge of $15.00 per 50-pound box of clay will be added to the invoice. This surcharge may be waived for Freight orders in excess of $500 with fewer than 4 boxes of clay.
For Ceramic Slip orders, customer is responsible for all shipping fees. We will contact you with full shipping cost before the order ships. These orders will not ship Fedex Ground only Fedex Freight.
Orders with glaze pails may be subject to additional charges.
Orders sent via Priority Mail are not eligible for freight-free service.
Rush Order/Guaranteed Same Day Shipping:
For an additional fee, we offer guaranteed same day shipping.Ground Orders: Additional $10 Rush Shipping Fee per order. Orders must be placed by 1:30pm of fulfilling warehouse to qualify for same day shipping.
Freight Orders: Additional $25 Rush Shipping Fee per order. Orders must be placed by 11am of fulfilling warehouse to qualify for same day shipping.
*If an order is unable to ship the same day or does not qualify for same day shipping, we will notify you and remove the fee. Same day shipping does not affect shipping speed. For expedited or express shipping, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for a quote.*
Damage:Bisque is packed to arrive in good condition. If there is obvious damage upon arrival from the carrier, the customer is responsible to photograph and note the damage in writing on the carrier’s paperwork. For motor freight shipments, the customer is responsible for immediately contacting the carrier to file a damage claim. Once the claim has been filed, contact Chesapeake Ceramics to pass the claim information on to us. Boxes must be opened and inspected within 72 hours of their arrival.
Damages may be submitted using our online form available HERE or emailed to email@example.com.
Please include the invoice number, stock number, and quantity of any damaged items and we will post a credit to your Chesapeake account. Unused credits will expire after one year of the issue date. Please note that photo documentation is required prior to issuing credit for damage in excess of $50.
***For all freight orders: If there is any noticeable damage to the boxes or pallets on all freight orders, please make sure this is recorded on the delivery receipt before the customer accepts delivery.***
Shortages:Each order is double checked for accuracy to avoid shortages. Please check your order carefully against your packing list, which is attached to the outside of one of the boxes in a plastic sleeve. Shortages must be reported within 72 hours of receipt of the order.
Returns:Please notify us of any problems with your order immediately upon receipt of goods.
All items approved for return are subject to a 25% restocking fee.
Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer.
Products must be returned in original condition and packaging.
All returns must be completed within 30 days of receipt and include a copy of the original invoice.
Payment:Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, or prepayment only.
*Freight-free minimum applies to the continental US only. Hawaii and Alaska are not eligible.

Personal identification information
