Since 1972, Chesapeake Ceramics has been committed to helping creative businesses succeed. For more than 50 years, we have grown and evolved alongside the ceramic arts industry, building our knowledge, expanding our product offerings, and developing lasting relationships with customers and suppliers around the world.
Our roots in ceramics run deep. Long before today’s paint-your-own-pottery industry emerged, Chesapeake was serving the ceramic arts community. That experience positioned us to recognize and support new opportunities as the industry evolved.
In the early 1990s, as the first paint-your-own-pottery studios began to emerge, Chesapeake became an early leader in this growing segment. We became the first U.S. supplier to import a full container of bisque from Italy specifically to meet the needs of the new industry. We are proud of the role we played in helping paint-your-own-pottery grow and of the relationships we continue to have with studios today.
Today, Chesapeake Ceramics is a full-line wholesale ceramic supplier serving paint-your-own-pottery studios, studio potters, ceramic artists, educators, retailers, and other creative businesses worldwide. We offer more than 1,200 bisque items, along with an extensive and growing selection of glazes, tools, brushes, equipment, studio supplies, and other products for the ceramic arts.
Some companies may focus on being the largest. At Chesapeake Ceramics, our goal has never been simply to be the largest. Our goal is to be the best supplier and partner we can be for our customers.
